I recall one day looking into Mike\'s refrigerator and being grossed out by its filth, mold growing on the side, old and crusty food sitting out, spoiled milk in a carton. I just got on his case and told him he needed to clean it up, it was inexcusable to have it in such a condition. The next time I came up we agreed to make Mexican food, so we went to the market and bought the fixings. When we got to the house he asked me to fetch something from the refrigerator. I was shocked to see it\'s new condition, IT WAS SPOTLESS! I looked over and saw he was watching me, obviously he had set me up. I just smiled and that was all he needed. We made the best tacos and salsa, I can taste them now.

I met Mike back in 1998 or 1999 At a party for Joe Sample somewhere around Mammoth...Still one of the most amazing people I have ever met and best night ever ...Talked all night about music..I have found the business card he gave me for "Range of Light " productions after he said I couldnt go home and he would sort me with some work and I could stay with him and his partner till I got sorted..On the back of the business card It says "Skully 485 7025" a phone number i presume..! So Sad ....Just an amazing individual

I have not spoken or seen Mike in 25 plus years, but memories of our times together have a way of filtering through, especially when looking at large rock faces or tramping through the wilderness. I always expected him to be there, just like the mountains ...
